TIPS

  • Red heads look good in green
  • darker-skin men look good in light colors
  • never have a pattern on your suit AND tie
    • if you do, make sure they are not the same size pattern

First start with matching your shirt and tie.

When in doubt, go with a neutral color shirt, or a white.

Other mild, pale shades of color, especially light blue, are also highly versatile and offer a variety of options when it comes to ties.

Learn cool new ways to tie your tie!!

Place the wide end of the tie significantly lower than the narrow end to account for the need for two wrappings Put the wide end on top of the narrow end and wrap it around. Repeat this twice more to achieve the larger style look When at the last wrapping form a loop in the front. Slip the wide end of the tie through the gap between your neck and the tie through the loop Adjust and tighten to neaten the knot and place your collar back down over the necktie. Your Prince Albert Knot is complete!

Use a tie that is darker than your shirt.

If you choose a tie with a pattern, make sure the colors match with your shirt.

AVOID having the same pattern on your shirt AND tie. – A solid shirt and a patterned tie is always a safe look.

Avoid more than
colors in your whole outfit.

When it comes to picking out your suit go with colors like black, grey, navy blue, and (sometimes) brown.

If you really don’t know what to go with, dark, solid suit jackets and pants are always safe.

If you went with a darker tie, go with a lighter, more pastel looking suit jacket.

Avoid patterns on your suit jacket if you have them on your shirt and tie.

CAFE KNOT

Knot Size:  4/5    Symmetry: 5/5   Difficulty: 2/5

cafe knot.jpg

  1. Drape the necktie around your collar with the seam facing inward and the thick end on your right, about a half an inch lower than you want the finished tie to hang.
  2. Cross the thin end over the thick end, forming an X. Then bring the thin end up through the loop you just formed, behind the X.
  3. Flip the thin end over the top of the knot.
  4. Bring the thin end behind the knot from left to right.
  5. Bring the thin end across the front from right to left.
  6. Bring the thin end behind the knot and up through the loop around your neck. This will leave a horizontal band across the front of the knot.
  7. Flip the thin end over the front of the knot so that it hangs down.
  8. Bring the thin end slightly to the left of the thick end, then fold it around behind the knot, passing from left to right.
  9. Bring the thin end up in front of the knot, pointing the tip upward and toward your left shoulder.
  10. Tuck the thin end through the loop around your collar, behind the rest of the knot and emerging on the left side of the thick end.
  11. Tug the thin end down firmly and take a moment to arrange the center of the knot. You want the diagonal legs to rise at the same angle, meeting squarely beneath your chin.
  12. Flip the thick forward and up. You can toss it over one shoulder.
  13. Turn the thin end point-upward and slip it through the single horizontal loop across the back of the knot.
  14. Pull the thin end all the way through the loop and snug it up tight.
  15. Flip the two ends of the tie back down.
  16. Tighten carefully by holding the knot in one hand while tugging on the thick end with your other.

🆒How to: Care for your clothes🆓

Hi everyone, thank you for reading How to care for your clothes with Suits Avenue!
Today we are going to give some tips on how to care for your suit to get the best look for the longest amount of time!

  1. The first step to suit care is ROTATING them!

If you wear the same suit every day, all day long it will never give the fibres time to relax or air out. Using round, wood hangers will give the suit enough space for air to flow through, getting the smells of your every day out. It also helps keep the suit fitting nice and tight.
hanger.jpg
2. Keep very little in your pockets.
Do not overfill any of your pockets, inside or outside of the suit. Only carry your essentials, cash, business cards, debit/credit cards. If you overload your pockets it will eventually change the shape of the suit.
3. Brush your suit with a clothing brush.
This will extend the natural fibres in the suit and allowing it to last longer. It keeps the fibres up allowing it to breathe more.
suitbrush.jpg
4. Steam your suit regularly.
Steaming your suit opens up the fibres, removes stains and marks as well as the smells. Dry ironing your suit will push the fibres down trapping all stains and stenches.
suitsteamer.jpg
5. Avoid the dry cleaners
Dry cleaners shorten the lifespan of suits. They use strong chemicals to treat the suits so they are clean. It is only necessary to take your suit to the dry cleaners if you absolutely cannot get the stain or smell out of your suit.
How to Pack a Suit:
STEP 1
Lay suit facedown on a flat surface.

STEP 2
Fold left shoulder back.
2.png

STEP 3
Turn right shoulder inside out, then tuck left shoulder into the right.
3.png

STEP 4
Fold in half lengthwise and then fold horizontally.
4.png

STEP 5
Place folded jacket in the center of the outstretched trousers.

STEP 6
Fold trouser bottoms over jacket and repeat with top of trousers.

🤴How to dress for a wedding🎩

Hi everyone! Thank you for reading Suits Avenue’s blog!

Today we are going to show you the proper attire to wear to a wedding!

First, you will need to start with a nice dress shirt

Made Imported from Italy and Turkey 150kand Imported from Italy and Turkey 200k for set

For a formal occasion like a wedding, it is best to stick with solid color undershirts, the most common shirts are white or black, depending on the color of your suit.

Next, you will need to find a tight-fitting vest.

WhatsApp Image 2018-03-23 at 3.37.48 AM (18)

It is best to get a tight-fitting vest so your jacket will easily form with your body so it doesn’t look baggy or too big.

Now, you need nice, ironed dress paints and a matching blazer.

WhatsApp Image 2018-03-23 at 3.37.06 AM (13)

When purchasing your jacket there are a few key things to look for

  1. Make sure your shoulder fit perfectly. You don’t want them to be too snug so you cant move your arms, but it also can’t be too big and look like you are wearing shoulder pads.
  2. With the jacket buttoned, the lapels should lie flat on your chest. If they bow or leave a gap around your shirt collar try a different size.
  3. Your sleeves should hug your arms and show a half-inch of cuff
  4. With the jacket buttoned, slide your thumb between the button and your gut. If your thumb is snug, good. If it’s a little loose or tight, try a different size.
  5. Your pants should sit at your natural waistline (about an inch below your navel)

Now, you will need nice dress shoes and a matching tie.

It is okay to have a pattern or some type of design, however, never have the same pattern style or type on multiple pieces. It is meant to be a little accent to your outfit, not the whole outfit.

  1. Wear a suit and tie.
  • Wear a well-fitting three-button suit in a dark color with matching pants.
  • Wear a long-sleeve white or solid blue button-down shirt. Make sure it is ironed.
  • Wear a conservative tie in either a solid color or with a small printed pattern.
  • Wear a dark-colored belt.
  • Make sure your socks are as dark or darker than your pants. They should be long enough so that none of your leg shows when you sit down.
  • If you do not have a suit, wear a white or solid blue dress shirt with a conservative tie and dress pants. Make sure everything is ironed.
  • Wear dress shoes, such as oxfords, wingtips, or loafers. They should be in good condition and polished with no scuff marks.
  • Don’t hesitate to ask a friend or family member for advice on how you look.

  1. Limit accessories: handling tattoos and jewelry.
  • It is better not to wear any jewelry except for a wedding band if you are married.
  • Make sure your hair is cut neatly.
  • Make sure you are clean shaven and that any facial hair is neatly shaped.
  • If possible, wear clothing that will cover tattoos and piercings.
  • Do not wear cologne

  1. Bring only a small portfolio and turn off your phone.
  • A small portfolio-sized binder that can hold copies of your resume, references and a pen should be all you need.
  • Make sure your cell phone is turned off.  Store it out of sight for the entire interview.

Classic Cut v.s. Slim Fit

Hi Everyone! Thank you for reading Suits Avenue’s Blog! Today we are going to compare classic cut to slim fit suits!

It really is all about the fit. The saying “the suit makes the man” is right: an ill-fitting suit can make you look less dressed up than wearing no suit at all.

EXTREME SLIM FIT

extreme slm.jpg

perfect for a trim guy who wants to wear his suit, not the other way around. The jacket features a narrower chest and waist that is form-fitting without being constricting. The trousers are slim-fitting with a narrow opening at the cuff and a low rise.

SLIM FIT

oic.jpg  slim.jpg

Just like it sounds, Slim Fit is fitted closer to the body, without excess fabric. That doesn’t mean it fits like a superhero bodysuit; Slim Fit can be worn by a lot of different body types.

CLASSIC FIT

pic.jpg      traditional.jpg

Classic Fit is comfortable and easy to wear. It’s cut generously through the chest and waist, which means less constriction for you, but still maintains a clean body shape
